NYPD: Officers shoot man in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Police shot and wounded a man armed with a knife in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened at 967 E. 99 Street in Canarsie just after 9:30 p.m., police said.

The man was hit in the chest, police said. Officers recovered a knife at the scene, the department said.

The officers were not hurt.
