NYPD lieutenant stabbed in Brooklyn
NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - An emotionally disturbed person slashed an NYPD officer in the arm in Brooklyn Monday, according to police.
A 911 call from a social worker brought police to East 18th Street in Brooklyn around 11 a.m. The 44-year-old woman resident was acting erratically. When police arrived, she allegedly stabbed a lieutenant in the arm with a kitchen knife.
The lieutenant was taken to a local hospital and was expected to recover. Police took the woman into custody. She was undergoing psychiatric evaluation.
