NYPD investigating 2 separate incidents of bodies in cars

NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Police Department is investigating two separate incidents of bodies found in cars.

Both were of adult males, one found shot and another found burned in a car that had been set on fire. Both vehicles were in Queens.

Police responding to a 911 call around 10:30 p.m. Saturday found a car with its engine running on 153rd Street. Inside it was a man with a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Just over an hour later, police responded to a call of a car on fire at 224th Street and 149th Avenue. Firefighters put out the blaze, and an adult man with significant burns was found in the trunk. He was pronounced dead at the location.

No arrests have been made.
