NYPD arrests man in death of woman found in Kissena Park

NEW YORK (AP) -- New York City police say a Brooklyn man has been arrested on a murder charge in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a Queens park in October.

The New York Police Department says 25-year-old Christopher Sobers was arrested Monday on murder and robbery charges.

Police say the 28-year-old victim, Qing Qing Kiemde, of Queens, had slash wounds to her neck and stomach. Her body was discovered by a homeless man on Oct. 11 inside Kissena Park in Flushing.

Sobers was being held in police custody Monday night and couldn't be reached for comment. It wasn't immediately clear whether he had an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
