NYPD: 2 arrested after Siberian Husky puppy stolen in Bronx

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police say two people have been arrested after a Siberian Husky puppy was stolen from an apartment in the Bronx.

Authorities say 21-year-old Collin Small and a 15-year-old boy were arrested Friday on misdemeanor stolen property charges. It was not immediately clear whether they had attorneys who could comment.

Police say the charges relate to a burglary that happened Tuesday.

Investigators say a man returned to his Bronx apartment and found the home ransacked and his female puppy named "Luna" was gone.

Police say more than $1,000 in cash, several pairs of sneakers and a video game console were also taken.

The Daily News of New York reports (http://nydn.us/1kbj3pq) the two were arrested after contacting the dog's owner, looking for a reward if they returned the pup.
