NYC man arrested on charges in 80-year-old woman's death

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a man has been arrested on charges in the death of an 80-year-old New York City woman from injuries she suffered during a September robbery.

Thirty-two-year-old Jordan Vecchio, of Brooklyn, was arrested on murder and robbery charges Friday.

Police say they responded to a 911 call of a robbery at the corner of 76th Street and 35th Avenue in Queens and found Celica Londono with injuries to her abdomen, arm and face. She was taken to a hospital, where she died Sept. 9.

It wasn't clear whether Vecchio had a lawyer who could comment on his behalf.
