NJ Transit train hits vehicle in Emerson

EMERSON, N.J. (AP) — Service on the Pascack Valley Line is suspended in both directions after a New Jersey Transit train hit a motor vehicle in Emerson.

The train had left Spring Valley, New York, at 5:10 a.m. Thursday and the crash occurred just west of the Lincoln Boulevard crossing.

There is no word on injuries.

Buses are honoring NJ Transit rail passes.
