NJ sex offender back in custody after escaping health department van
NEW JERSEY - An inmate who escaped from a health department van while being transported to a Newark hospital last week has now been arrested, the New Jersey State Police said.

State police said 25-year-old Nicholas Voutsas escaped at approximately 9 a.m. on Thursday.
According to a press release from state police, Voutsas escaped from a health department van that was en route to University Hospital in Newark.
State police said Voustas was charged with escape.

When was he seen last?:
Police said he was seen last in the area of University Hospital, near South Orange Avenue and Bergen Street in Newark, Essex County.
He was wearing a two-tone black over green winter jacket, dark blue pants, and black sneakers with Velcro closures, police said.
Police said Voutsas is approximately 6’0" tall and weighs approximately 260 pounds.
