New deli in Brooklyn has old-school influences
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Frankel's Delicatessen looks like it's been on the corner of Manhattan and Bedford Avenues in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, for decades, but it's actually less than three weeks old.
The brainchild of New York brothers Alex and Zach Frankel, the deli is already a neighborhood favorite, generating instant acclaim.
While Zach holds down the fort at Frankel's, Alex has been balancing his career selling bagels and lox with a burgeoning musical career as one half of the popular synth pop duo Holy Ghost.
And with a menu of classic favorites like a sweet and sour brisket sandwich and pastrami salmon and cucumber salad on a bagel, the customers have been leaving very satisfied.
