Missing teen with autism located

Police on Long Island are asking for help in locating a teenager with autism who is missing.  Police say he may be in imminent danger.

16-year-old Daniel Velez went missing from his Lakeview home on Wednesday, April 3rd at about 10:45 a.m.

He is 5’5” tall, 260 pounds, with a stocky build, short black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing gray sweatpants, a black Northface jacket, green shirt, a multicolored Jordon brand beanie and multicolored Jordon brand sneakers.

His destination was unknown, but he did mention before he went missing that he wanted to go to Coney Island.

Nassau County detectives request anyone with information on Daniel’s whereabouts to call 911 or Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or 911.
