Missing Queens girl found safe

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Authorities in New York said that an 11-year-old girl who vanished from Queens Friday morning has been found safe.

Shyia Andrews was last seen leaving her home on Jewel Avenue in Queens at 8:30 a.m. Police said she was with her mother, Saraleathia McKenzie, who does not have legal custody.

Friday night, the NYPD said that Shyia was found safe and sound in New Jersey and would be reunited with her custodial parent.
