Missing autistic teen from the Bronx found safe

Searchers have found a 17-year-old boy from the Bronx who went missing from a summer program for autistic children.

Steven Rodriguez wandered away at around 2 p.m. Wednesday. He made a stop at Chuck E. Cheese at the Bronx Terminal Market.

He was found safe and unharmed in the area of 610 Exterior St. early Thursday morning. He was returned to his family.

The NYPD sent out an alert to be on the lookout for the teen.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a dark blue or shirt, dark pants with blue Air Jordan sneakers, and he was carrying a black and gray book bag.

Rodriguez is about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He does not speak.
