MACON, Ga. - Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and Bibb County deputies found a missing 11-year-old Florida girl at a hotel in Macon.
Authorities said the girl was found at a hotel with 24-year-old John Peters Byrns, of Illinois. Investigators in Florida were able to track Johnson's whereabouts using her cell phone and contacted Bibb County deputies, who worked with the FBI.
Investigators found Byrns' car at a Holiday Inn Express off Harrison Road at around 5 p.m. Sunday. Authorities safely recovered the girl and took Byrns into custody.
