Man viciously assaulted with baseball bat

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The NYPD is on the hunt for two men seen on security camera video beating a man with a bat in Ridgewood, Queens.

Th vicious assault occurred just before 1 a.m. on Mar. 10 in the area of Metropolitan Ave. and Grandview Ave. 

In the video, an SUV pulls away as one of the assailants attacks the victim. He falls to the ground and the second suspect picks up the bat and swings, repeatedly, at the man.

The victim was taken to Wyckoff Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The suspects fled the scene.

One of the men was described by police as Hispanic, in his late 20s, and approximately five feet five inches tall to five feet nine inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket.

The second suspect is described by police as Hispanic, in his late 20s, approximately  five feet five inches tall to five feet nine inches tall. He was wearing a brown jacket.
