Man smashed victim's face with gun: Cops
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A man smashed a gun in the face of another man in Harlem in an attempt to steal a necklace, according to the NYPD. The violent robbery took place in front of 310 West 144th Street at about 10:30 p.m. on July 16.
The vicious assault was captured on security cameras. The assailant displayed a gun and attempted to remove the victim's necklace. The victim ran off. The assailant chased after him, shoved him to the ground and struck him numerous times in the face with the handgun, according to the NYPD.
The assailant ripped the victim's chain off his neck and fled westbound on West 144th Street. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS.
The assailant is described by police as black male. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a light colored long sleeved shirt, red or orange shorts and light colored sneakers.
