Man sets NYPD car ablaze with firework

Police are looking for a man who is accused of destroying an NYPD squad car with a firework.

Police say it happened about 3:23 a.m. on Sunday, July 5th in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

Police say the man walked up to the marked police car that was parked in front of 487 Carlton Ave. and threw the consumer grade firework inside the car.

It caused a fire inside the car, leading to substantial damage.

TPolice released a photo of the suspect.  They describe the man as black, thin build, short haircut.  He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, and dark colored pants.
