Man grabs phone on subway, demands sex for it

Police in New York are looking for a man who took a woman's phone on a subway train and demanded sex to get it back.

The NYPD says it happened Sunday, May 12 about 11:30 p.m. on a northbound R train in the are of the Whitehall subway station in Lower Manhattan.

Police say a 21-year-old woman had fallen asleep on the train.  The man awakened her and demanded a sex act in exchange for the return of her phone.

A struggle ensued between the two of them after the man attempted to take other items from her. He was unsuccessful and got off the train at the Canal Street subway station with her phone.

EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.   

The man wanted for questioning is described as Hispanic, in his mid-twenties, 5'10" and 180 lbs., last seen wearing all dark clothing.
