Man attacked and robbed in Central Park

Police in New York are looking for a group of teenagers who attacked and robbed a man in Central Park.

The NYPD says a 33-year-old man was riding his e-bike on East Drive when he approached a large group of teenagers on bikes and skateboards.  When he tried to pass the group, one of the teens forced his skateboard into the victim's bike, causing him to fall.

Another of the teens went through the victim's pants pocket and took his phone.  Another of them grabbed the victim's bike.  They all ran down 5th Ave.

Police say the incident took place on April 13, 2019 at approximately 11:15 p.m.  Investigators were now able to track down video that showed the suspects.

The group was last seen on video entering the PATH train station at 23rd and 6th Ave. and heading toward New Jersey.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  Police say that all calls are confidential.
