Man arrested in fatal Mcdonald's stabbing

NEW YORK (AP) — A 46-year-old man has been arrested in a fatal stabbing during a fight on a Harlem street corner.

Police say Jesus (Hay-SOOS') Santiago was arrested Saturday in the stabbing death of a man during a brawl Friday.

A 46-year-old woman was wounded and remains in critical condition.

The stabbing happened outside a McDonald's on 125th Street.

The Daily News reports (http://nydn.us/1hyKys9 ) that Santiago and a female companion fought with the two victims over an umbrella.

Witnesses told the newspaper that the slain victim was a homeless man who came to East Harlem to visit a methadone clinic.

Santiago, of the Bronx, was arrested on charges of murder, attempted murder and assault.

It wasn't clear if he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
