Man, 71, breaks record for longest held plank
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A 71-year-old man from Minnetonka , Minnesota reportedly broke the Guinnes World Record for longest held plank for someone his age.
Various local media outlets were on site Thursday at the Sabes Jewish Community Center in Minneapolis as Andy Steinfeldt held an abdominal plank position for 38 minutes. He reportedly beat the previously held record of 36 minutes. A guitarist played as Steinfeldt reached his goal.
"JCC Member, Andy Steinfeldt, was here today celebrating his 71st birthday by breaking the World Record for the longest plank for his age! Andy stayed in the plank position for an impressive 38 minutes - surrounded by family, friends and a cheering crowd. Mazel tov, Andy!"
