LI school computer system hacked
COMMACK, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a Long Island high school's computer system containing class schedule and student identification data has been hacked. The Commack school district said in a statement on its website that an unauthorized person breached the system Thursday night. But it says there was no evidence that any specific student information was downloaded.
Newsday reports that the district believes the breach applies to a very limited number of high school student records.
Suffolk County police say they have a suspect but did not release additional information.
