Joshua Trump, bullied over name, attends president's address
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A sixth grade student who has been bullied by classmates for sharing the same last name as the President of the United States will be attending the State of the Union address Tuesday as a guest of the White House.
Brandywine School District officials say Joshua Trump's parents raised concerns about their son's safety earlier this school year. School officials took measures to address the situation including reassinging him to a new school bus, mentoring and offering social and emotional support
His name was even changed in the school database so that all staff would refer to him by his father's surname, Berto, instead of his mother's surname, Trump.

The White House said via its website that Joshua, and all the guests, represent the "very best in America.'
Joshua Trump is a 6th grade student in Wilmington, Delaware. He appreciates science, art, and history. He also loves animals and hopes to pursue a related career in the future. His hero and best friend is his Uncle Cody, who serves in the United States Air Force. Unfortunately, Joshua has been bullied in school due to his last name. He is thankful to the First Lady and the Trump family for their support.
Tuesday's address will be the second for President Donald Trump. It was delayed while the government was shutdown over the fight for border wall funding between the White House and Democratic congressional leaders.
