John Kasich's bread faux pas in The Bronx

Republican presidential contender John Kasich went to town at Mike's Deli in The Bronx.

While he took the cannolis to go on Thursday, the Ohio governor chowed-down on Italian sandwiches, spaghetti Bolognese, sliced breads, cheese and olives.

But it was what Kasich did with the sandwiches that had everyone talking at the legendary Arthur Avenue eatery.

When Kasich put the sandwich down, it wasn't facing the correct side. It's bad luck, according to some, to put a sandwich down, face down.

Earlier in the day, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had her public slip-up when it took her five times to swipe her Metro Card at a subway turnstile in NYC.
