Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka charged in 1983 murder
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Wrestling legend Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka has been charged in the 1983 murder of his ex-girlfriend. The former WWE star is accused of killing Nancy Argentino at a motel. Snuka, 72, faces third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter charges. He was arraigned Tuesday in Lehigh County. TMZ reports that Snuka's autobiography might have done him in.
Snuka reportedly told investigators Argentino, who was 22 at the time, injured her head while the two were "fooling around" in Allentown, PA when he pushed her and she fell.
In his 2012 autobiography, TMZ reports that Snuka changed his story and wrote that Argentino slipped and fell on her own while going to the bathroom at a rest stop. Police have decided to reopen the case. Snuka was arrested Tuesday at his home in Camden, NJ home.
