Jets player arrested for DUI after wrong-way crash in Lincoln Tunnel

A New York Jets player was arrested early Monday on drunk driving charges after driving the wrong way into the Lincoln Tunnel and crashing into a bus.

Port Authority Police say that Dylan Donahue, 25, drove his Dodge Charger around traffic cones and enter the center tube at about 2 a.m.  Police say he collided with a jitney bus a short distance into the tunnel.  There were 15 people on the bus and four of them were taken to Hoboken Hospital for what were described as minor injuries.

Police say that Donahue was administered a sobriety test and a breath test and failed both. He was placed under arrest.

During the investigation, the passenger in his car was also arrested.  Suleiman Mahmood, 21, faces disorderly conduct charges.

Donahue is a linebacker who was a fifth-round draft pick of the Jets last year and played in four games before he suffered a season-ending elbow injury.
