Investigation into man found in East River

NEW YORK (AP) — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the East River.  Police pulled the body out of the water on Monday after receiving a 911 call about a body floating in the river off Roberto Clemente State Park in the Bronx.

The Daily News reports that police said there was no evidence of trauma to the body.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The 44-year-old victim's identity wasn't immediately released.
