Hunt for man who fired gun in Washington Square Park

A 25-year-old man is wanted by the NYPD for opening fire at another man inside Washington Square Park.

A 25-year-old man is wanted by the NYPD for opening fire on another man inside Washington Square Park.

The gunman allegedly fired one round that hit the pavement during a drug dispute, reported the NY Post.

The assailant was reportedly angry that the drug dealer had sold him fake narcotics the day before.

The shooting occurred at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Greenwich Village park which is a part of the New York University campus.

The victim was struck by a concrete fragment but refused medical attention, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male and approximately 5'5."

The surveillance camera photos of the man were released by the NYPD.
