Hundreds of food pantries on LI desperate for donations

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Hundreds of food pantries and community agencies on Long Island are in great need of food during the holiday season. In response, several organizations have teamed up for the 7th annual Bethpage Turkey Drive.

Donations of frozen turkeys, non-perishable food, super market vouchers or cash will be accepted.

On Nov. 18, the items will be collected at the Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 899 South Oyster Bay Road.

The drive runs until 6 p.m.
