How to help families affected by Florida school shooting

An education nonprofit is raising money to help the victims and families of this week's mass shooting at a school in Broward County, Florida.

A former student is accused of killing at least 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Wednesday.

The Broward Education Foundation, which supports the county's public schools, has created a GoFundMe page to "provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific shooting," according to the campaign's description.

"There are no words to express the sorrow that we are all feeling," the foundation said, "our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, as well as the entire Marjory Stoneman Douglas community."

The campaign had raised more than $300,000 by Thursday afternoon. You can contribute here.
