Hospitalized Kanye West on 'psychiatric hold'

Kanye West, who was hospitalized Monday, a day after abruptly canceling the rest of his national tour, has reportedly remained on a 'psychiatric hold.'

Anonymous law enforcement sources and West representatives said the hip-hop superstar was taken by ambulance to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon because of stress and exhaustion and was spending the night there for his own safety.

West was reportedly handcuffed to the stretcher.

TMZ.com obtained the audio of the 911 call made from personal trainer Harley Pasternak's home about West. A dispatcher characterizes the situation as a "psychiatric emergency."

Someone at the home told paramedics the 37-year-old and husband of Kim Kardashian West was acting "erratically," reported TMZ.

After ranting on stage over the weekend about fellow entertainers Jay Z and Beyonce and suddenly canceling his concert in Sacramento, West canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour on Monday. Tickets to the 21 shows will be "fully refunded at point of purchase."

West has not publicly commented on the cancelation.

According to TMZ,  West is "just exhausted. He's been working around the clock on fashion design, both his own line and the Adidas line. All the time spent away from his family has been a stress on him as well. They are most important to him."

The Saint Pablo Tour had future stops in New York City, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, and Washington, D.C., among others.

All tickets are being refunded at point of purchase.

Saturday's truncated show became a hot topic on social platforms, as amateur videos circulated of a 10-minute tirade by West about Hillary Clinton, Mark Zuckerberg, the radio and MTV.
