Holiday shopping begins Thanksgiving Day
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - While many of the biggest sales will take effect Friday the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season began Thanksgiving Day.
In addition to Turkey and stuffing, Thanksgiving is also known as the first day for Holiday shopping at deep discounts. And while some people relaxed at home with the family, many gathered here at Macy's to get a head start on some great deals.
Thousands lined up Thursday night for the chance to be one of the first to enter Macy's when the clock struck 5:00.
They flocked from near and far in search of gifts on their Christmas wish lists.
And tonight was all about the good deals.
However, there was one person who could lure the visitors here away from the savings: Santa.
Santa was a very popular attraction, though the real draw was the deals. Macy's will be open all night and all day on Friday until 11 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get some deals!
