Hawaii faces snow storm

Typically when one thinks about Hawaii, snow is likely the last thing you would associate the islands with.

Hawaii’s highest peak received two feet of snow during the weekend, with more likely to come.

As reported by USA Today, peaks of the Big Island of Hawaii, which include Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, which is the highest point of Hawaii, face a winter storm warning until late Sunday night.

Storm warnings stated these areas may get an extra 6 to 12 inches of snow with winds reaching 15 to 30 mph.

The rest of the Hawaiian islands were issued a flood watch.
