Hail kills several birds at Fort Worth Zoo
FORT WORTH, Texas - Severe storms Thursday morning killed several birds at the Fort Worth Zoo.
A zoo spokeswoman confirmed at least four to five flamingos, two ducks and one pelican died because of the 6:30 a.m. hail.
The zoo announced on Twitter it would be opening late because of the inclement weather.
“The zoo will be open at noon today, March 17, as we are busy clearing pathways so guests can have a safe and enjoyable visit today,” official said.
