Gunman robs H&M store in Manhattan
A gunman robbed an H&M store on the Upper East Side on Saturday night, taking off with thousands of dollars, cops said.
The store at 150 E. 86th St. was closed at 11:20 p.m. when the man entered through the unlocked front door, cops said.
He ordered the employees to lie on the floor and then demanded that the manager put all the cash from the clothing chain's registers into a plastic bag, cops said.
The manager deposited $8,700 into the bag and the man took off eastbound on E. 86th Street, cops said.
He was described as wearing a gray skull cap, gray coat, sunglasses and a blue scarf, cops said. He was described as standing about 5-foot-5 and weighing 150 pounds.
