Good Samaritans respond to crane collapse

When the crane came crashing down in Lower Manhattan Friday morning, some good Samaritans rushed in to help the victims.

Paul Capotosto and Vincent Vallelong were at work inside of the Sergeants Benevolent Association offices on Worth Street when the crane fell right outside of their window. They didn't think twice and ran outside to help.

This exclusive cell phone video from TMZ shows a group rushing to save that man inside of his Jeep. The crane crashed on top of the car but somehow missed him. One good Samaritan got on the roof of the car used his legs to pry open the passenger door.

But not everyone could be saved. David Wichs was found underneath the crane in the middle of Worth Street.

Capotosto and Vallelong say they just did what every other New Yorker would have done, tried to help.

This is just another example of New York's finest, doing what they do best.
