Girl on bus hit in head by stray bullet

An 8-year-old girl who was riding on an MTA bus with her mother in Brooklyn was hit in the back of the head by a stray bullet as two groups of men started shooting at each other.

It happened Monday at about 5:30 p.m. in the area of Flatlands Ave. and East 83rd Street.

The girl was transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police say that two groups were engaged in a dispute that spilled out into the street. One of them fired several rounds at members of the opposing group. 

The NYPD is looking for six people in connection with the case.  They released the following descriptions:

-Individual #1 is described as a male Black, in his late teens or early twenties. Last seen wearing a black hoodie and red pants.

-Individual #2 is described as a male Black, in his late teens or early twenties. Last seen wearing a red hoodie, dark pants and tan shoes.

-Individual #3 is described as a male Black, in his late teens or early twenties. Last seen wearing a red winter jacket and black pants.

-Individual #4 is described as a male Black, in his late teens or early twenties. Last seen wearing a white hoodie and white pants.

-Individual #5 is described as a male Black, in his late teens or early twenties. Last seen wearing all dark clothing.

-Individual #6 is described as a male Black, in his late teens or early twenties. Last seen wearing all dark clothing.
