Girl jumping on bed falls to death from Newark window

NEW JERSEY (FOX5NY) - A six year old girl died after falling from the window of a Newark building while jumping on her bed in the family apartment.  It happened late Monday evening in a building on 14th Ave.

The girl fell to the ground from the third floor window.  The identity of the girl was not immediately released.

An investigation continued on Tuesday and no charges had been filed. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office did not release further details about the accident or the injuries that she suffered.  The investigation continues.
