Girl, 3, killed in balcony fall during Disneyland trip

A three-year-old girl from Las Vegas has died after falling from a hotel balcony near Disneyland.

The girl and her family were visiting the theme park and staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Anaheim, California on Saturday when the girl fell from a fifth floor.

Stephanie Martinez reportedly wanted to join family members downstairs so she walked out to the balcony.

Her mother, who was taking a shower, came out to check on the girl and found her hanging from the balcony rails.

The mother screamed and the little girl let go.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the distraught family to help pay funeral costs.

The following message was posted on the website:

"We lost our little angel due to a tragic accident in Anaheim Califonia (sic) inside the embassy suites. She fell from the 5th floor, and passed away. Now we need help to bring our little angel back to Las Vegas to her resting home and give her a proper funeral. Please help us raise money for our little angel any little amout (sic) will help and will be more than beyond appriciated (sic)."

As of Tuesday afternoon, more than $10,000 had been raised on the site.
