Gas station clerk shot dead in robbery
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - A manhunt was underway for the masked gunman who shot and killed a gas station clerk in New Jersey after he handed over the cash drawer.
The shooting took place at about 4 a.m. on Thursday at the Speedway Gas Station on Amboy Ave. in Edison.
John Bertram, 38, was shot one time, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
The gunman fled the scene.
He was wearing a maroon-colored hoodie and dark mask at the time of the deadly robbery.
