First National Stair Climb for Fallen Firefighters at Citi Field

Firefighters killed in the line of duty were honored at Citi Field on Saturday. The first National Stair Climb for Fallen Firefighters raised money for programs that help their families.

Participants climbed more than 2,200 steps, symbolizing the 110 stories that FDNY firefighters climbed in the World Trade Center on 9/11.

The event was sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and was open to the public and to all ages.
