Fire on viaduct outside Grand Central Terminal

A portable compressor outside Grand Central Terminal burst into flames late Friday morning.

The FDNY said it was called to the elevated portion of Park Ave. on the west side of the building at 11:29 a.m..

Video shared on social media shows lots of flames and heavy smoke coming from the compressor.  

The fire was under control by 12:13 p.m.

An investigation into what sparked the fire was underway.

There were no reports of injuries.
