Fatal car pile-up in Baltimore due to icy weather
The icy conditions caused major problems in Baltimore, Maryland.
Two people died and 15 others were injured when a tanker carrying gasoline skidded off a highway and exploded, as reported by the Baltimore Sun.
55 vehicles in all were involved in that chain-reaction pile-up.
Officials said it was one of more than a dozen crashes around the region as the freezing rain accumulated on the roads.
State police have extended a travel advisory to Sunday morning.
