Fans camp out for BTS on SNL
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Dozens of fans of the band BTS have lined the sidewalks around Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan in anticipation of super group's appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Fans were bundled up under umbrellas and plastic in rows of chairs on 48th Street and 6th Avenue in hopes of potentially scoring standby tickets to the show, or at least seeing members of the Korean pop group.
Actress Emma Stone is hosting the show.
That will be a day after their new album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA is released.
This is the second late-night appearance from the K pop group. They previously performed on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."
The band previously announced a May 18 and 19 stop at MetLife Stadium East Rutherford as part of its "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself" tour.
BTS’s debut album was the first Korean-language album to top the Billboard 200 chart.
