Driver stops, takes off in hit-and-run

Security camera footage shows a man strike a pedestrian with his vehicle in the Bronx and then get out to check on her. But after picking up his cell phone and pacing around the body, the man gets back in his car and drives away. The video, released Tuesday, could help cops track the driver.

The hit-and-run occurred Aug. 19 at about 10:30 a.m. in front of 525 Jackson Ave. in the Mott Haven section of the borough, said police.

The man was wearing brown cargo shorts, a gray tank top and white sneakers.

The vehicle is described as a Honda.

The victim, a 51-year-old woman, was expected to recover.
