DoE: NYC schools to close on December 23
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - New York City’s Department of Education has announced that schools will be closed on December 23 this year.
Schools originally would have been open on December 23, a Monday, which would have meant that schools would open for a single day before students left for winter recess on December 24.
Schools will now be closed from December 23 through January 1, and will reopen on January 2, 2020.
