Detectives investigate fatal Long Island car accident

A fatal motor vehicle accident that took place in Hicksville is being investigated.

According to detectives, a Jeep Grand Cherokee lost control and caught fire after striking a tree around 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

The two passengers of the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are investigating.
