Deadly subway stabbing in Harlem

The NYPD is searching for a suspect in a deadly stabbing inside a subway station in Manhattan.

One person died after being stabbed on the platform of the 116th Street station on the 2 and 3 line in Harlem Wednesday evening, said police.

The 53-year-old victim got on a train and rode it until the Central Park North station where he got out, police said.  He was rushed to Mount Sinai St. Luke's on Amsterdam Avenue where he died.

The assailant remains at large.  Police are looking for Julio Velazquez, 48, who was arrested in 2013 for criminal possession of a weapon.  He is described as Hispanic, 5'6" tall, about 180 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
