David Bowie tribute concert to be held at Carnegie Hall

As word spread about the passing of pop/rock icon David Bowie, tickets to an already planned tribute concert at Carnegie Hall started flying off the concert hall's website.

Bowie died Sunday at the age of 69 following an 18-month battle with cancer.

By Monday afternoon, there was a wait of up to 20 minutes online to buy tickets.

The Music of David Bowie at Carnegie Hall concert is set to take place on Mar. 31.

The Roots, Cyndi Lauper, the Mountain Goats, Heart's Ann Wilson, Perry Farrell, Jakob Dylan were all scheduled to take part, reported Rolling Stone.
