Darcel Clark is first African-American woman D.A. in New York State history
It was a historic day in The Bronx on Saturday. Darcel Clark was officially inaugurated as Bronx D.A. Saturday afternoon at Lehman College.
Clark is the first woman to hold the position of district attorney in the Bronx and the first African-American woman to become a district attorney throughout New York State.
During her ceremony, she pledged to use her office to tackle a host of issues including gun violence, government corruption, police-community relations and Rikers Island.
