Crews repair another water main break in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — For the third time in as many days, Jersey City residents had to deal with a water main break.

The latest break occurred on Neptune Avenue, leaving nearly 100 customers without water service before repairs were completed Sunday afternoon.

Officials have not disclosed what caused the main breaks that have occurred in recent days.

A 12-inch break on New Year's Day flooded West Side Avenue between Culver and Pollock avenues. Repairs to that main were completed Saturday, shortly before another main broke in the same area on Saturday afternoon.

Service has mostly been restored to residents and businesses affected by the first two water main breaks.
